For me, one such moment was rounding a particularly steep bend in the Luberon valley, on the hunt for the bird’s-eye view of Gordes. The more typical view is the one of the hilltop in its entirety, but I wanted to find another angle that would still convey the dry summer heat, near-blinding sun, and sense of Provençal adventure that many chase, with a subtle nod to this otherwise well-known destination."
